Questions

Real answers, real methodology

Every page answers one specific developer question. No filler. Each answer includes what to do, why, common mistakes, and (where relevant) authoritative sources.

  1. Where should I store AI API keys in a Flutter app?

Never in the Flutter bundle. Store AI API keys on a server you control (Supabase Edge Function, Firebase Cloud Function, or Cloudflare Worker) and have the app call your server, which calls the AI provider.

  2. How do I add in-app account deletion to a Flutter app?

Add a "Delete my account" button in Settings that calls a server-side function which (1) deletes the auth user, (2) deletes user-owned data across tables, and (3) cancels any active RevenueCat subscription. All in one atomic flow.

  3. How do I implement Restore Purchases with RevenueCat in Flutter?

Call Purchases.restorePurchases() when the user taps a "Restore" button, then re-check entitlements. If the restored entitlement is active, unlock the paywall immediately.

  4. Why was my AI-built app rejected by Apple?

Almost every AI-built app first-rejection falls into one of six buckets: 4.3 spam, 2.3 misleading metadata, missing privacy label, missing account deletion, broken restore purchases, or a broken support URL. Address them explicitly before resubmitting.

  5. Supabase or Firebase for an AI-built mobile app?

For AI-built apps, Supabase is safer by default because row-level security is enforced in Postgres and easier to review. Firebase is better if you need Google-scale free tier or heavy real-time push. Both are production-viable.

  6. How do I protect user data with row-level security in Supabase?

Enable RLS on every table, add a policy <code>USING (auth.uid() = user_id)</code>, and make sure every insert sets user_id = auth.uid(). Postgres enforces the rest.

  7. How do I add subscriptions to a Flutter app with RevenueCat?

Create products in both stores, group them into a RevenueCat offering, install purchases_flutter, present a paywall that calls Purchases.purchasePackage(), and gate premium features on the entitlement returned by Purchases.getCustomerInfo().

  8. How do I turn an AI-generated prototype into a production mobile app?

A prototype becomes production when it clears five thresholds: (1) no hardcoded secrets, (2) authenticated data access with RLS, (3) restore purchases working, (4) crash + analytics instrumented, (5) a support channel a customer can reach.

  9. How much does it cost to launch a mobile app in 2026?

Minimum cash costs: $99/year for the Apple Developer Program, $25 one-time for the Google Play Developer account. Everything else — backend, subscriptions, analytics — has a real free tier for launch.

  10. What are the key differences between App Store and Google Play in 2026?

App Store enforces metadata and privacy manually; Play enforces target SDK and Data Safety automatically. Play requires 20 testers for personal accounts opened after Nov 2023; Apple does not. Both require account deletion.
